    Thanks so much! I was waiting for Ubisoft to fix this and was getting no where. I couldn’t see the gear icon through my tears of rage! :-P.

      It seems like something that should be very easy to fix too. Uplay should show a notification asking if you’d like to go online to sign in or something. It shouldn’t be a manual process like this in 2013!.

    Thanks for that, it’s annoying enough I have to deal with UPlay on top of Steam but also it wouldn’t work… also couldn’t see the stupid gear.

    I just changed my password, after getting the email about Ubisoft’s security breach. I changed my password through the link provided (web), but I could no longer log in to the Ubisoft client. I hadn’t even noticed the little gear icon.

      I agree, I have today restarted my ubisoft boycott. I stopped it because I got far cry 3 for free. Hope I never have to use uplay ever again! And their customer service takes 3 days to reply. Even EA origin has instant customer service chat!.

    Hey Dude..I tried bt it said msg lyk “there seems to be a problem with ur connectn.Please ckeck ur setting or switch to offline mode”….Wht can i do? There r 3 optns ie try again, go offline n setting ..I tried many times bt nthg happnd….Plz help me i wanna play assassins creed 2.

      Your internet connection/wifi is off. Go to settings and turn it on.

      More advice – Study harder and listen to your teachers in school.
