On the books side after you enter the key you will reveal a golden circle. They seem to rotate but there are no markings to show the correct position. Use your eyepiece to see the markings to solve the puzzle. Start from the outside golden circle and work in to match the pattern. Once done you open the mysterious book side door.

These three seals stand between me and the contents of this box.
A plate with a cog symbol on it. It doesn’t seem to move. A circular indentation. It seems to connect to the mechanism inside.

It’s locked up tight! There must be a way to get into it.
Use the eyepiece and swipe around the box. On an edge between two of the sides you will see a small paint marking. Zoom in and tap it to reveal the book. An ancient leather-bound book. The cover seems very ornate…
Tap the book icon to zoom in on it and see the leather book puzzle. You can rotate those circles. It’s easy and the goal is to make the right side spinner not block the book clasp to release the lock. Inside is a letter.

My research continues at a snail’s pace. With these barbaric instruments, I can barely read anything at all, but there is something there. Between Earth and Fire, between Water and Air. Creepy stuff again…swipe the book right slightly to reveal the key opposite the writing. This key is for winding up clockwork.
Move to the side of the box with the code. Use the eyepiece to see a colorful box within. Now, if you swipe around the box after zooming in you will see it move and you can align different numbers. The solution is: Top is 2, Right is 7, Left is 5 and Bottom or base is 6.
Setting the code to 2,5,7,6 reveals a switch. Flick the switch in the room chapter 2 by swiping and view the clockwork box. Nerdr.com.
BUT WAIT! use the eyepiece on the box of the tea house…zoom in. then spin the golden foot thing to the right. This will reveal the short piece of cotton. It smells of paraffin.
Now back to clockwork device. zoom in twice onto the golden circle. It smells of burning. Place the cotton with the paraffin smell onto this piece. Now flick the slider just to its left like a lighter. This will light the candle. Use the golden handle on the right of the candle and move it up. This will place the candle behind the paper.
On the left of the clockwork box is a clasp. Lift it up to open the small wooden hatch door. This looks like the winding mechanism, but there should be some sort of key. Well, we have the winding mechanism key! Attach the key to the hole and turn to activate the system. My guess is that it is a projector.
Zoom in on the top side connector between the two sides: 4 digit code on left and 4 digit code along top. Swipe the golden lower part with the ridges to the left to reveal the miniature telescope.
Select the miniature telescope from your item list and tap or swipe out the black part to extend the telescope.
Now back to the clockwork projector. Attach the telescopic lens or telescope to the projector end. Zoom in and watch the video of the room app box being used by a man in a hat.
I get the feeling there’s more to that than I saw. Would the eyepiece reveal anything? why yes, it would! so attach the eyepiece and zoom in again. With the eyepiece connected you will see TRIAL on the wall. Zoom out and the small gold circle opens to reveal a circle spinning puzzle again.
Use the eyepiece on the small gold circle puzzle to see the REAL puzzle you should be solving. It’s a bull with horns image and the inside part is the head. Use the eyepiece and you’ll see a yellow circle and a blue line on it. Move one of the center blue pieces onto the ring and turn it until its lined up with the ‘tail’ of the Q. Slide the blue piece onto the tail and then go to the other side and slide the other blue piece onto the ring and bring that down to the ‘tail’ of the Q. Then you have to locate a square plate to insert into the opening you’ve uncovered. I don’t know how long ago you posted, today’s date is 4/28 and on my post it says Jan 19, so you may have gotten this information long ago

The last piece of the 4 symbol puzzle is in the space that you found the book on the right side.

Hi, it’s the 2nd time I’ve downloaded the game and I’m stuck at the same part! I’ve read the walkthrough to get up to the bit I’m at now to make sure I’m doing it right! I’m on level 2 on the last lock I think and I’ve opened the drawer at the top to get the 2 cogs, yet I only get one! Any ideas where there could be another?? Please reply as say as possible!! It’s driving me mad now! X.
Follow the walkthrough exactly Vickey. It’s worked for everyone so far and it’ll tell you where to find the second cog you’re looking for. Good luck!.

Hi im stuck on second Puzzle got the lamp lit and eyepeice in place but when i look Through cant see anything can anyone help pls?Also you say there is a clasp on top of Box definitely cant see this so cannot move forward in the game.
In the kindle tablet version, the drawer contains only a single medium cog. With two medium cogs and no small cog, cannot make machine work. Is the small cog hidden somewhere? I have reinstalled the game twice.
The kindle tablet version might be a newer version. Although it is unlikely, they might have changed some of the puzzles. Sorry for not being specific, but the truth is I don’t know why the cog would be missing :(.
You need the rubberband and the cogs are reusable.
I’m stuck on chapter 3….The clue reads “their was a hidden socket inside the panel that revolved when I touched it.” I don’t know where the hidden panel is…..Please help! I have the handle, but no socket.
