A telescopic extension will come out of the safe panel. Use two fingers on your iPad, iPod Touch, iPhone or Android device to move both switches up at the same time. This will reveal the large, oddly shaped key.
Return to the front of the safe. Tap the large oddly shaped key in your inventory. Move the angle so you can see clearly and rotate the shapes to fit the lock. Then move it onto the keyhole at the front of the safe. A circular plate with a star emblem and the rotating mechanism starts in the safe.
Attach this star rotation plate you found to the middle of the big side panel of the overall tea house with the cog symbol at the top. This will unlock the second symbol of the three.
The second seal is open, just one more to go! Phew…getting tired here guys.
A hugely complex clockwork device appears.
Zoom in to the left panel of the huge block. Flock the lower left switch to the left and rotate the cogs. This will open the top of the tea house and reveal a drawer. This drawer has 4 gold circles around it. Rotate the similar symbol gold circles to allow the drawer to open.
The gold circles are located: on the left of the cog box, near the cogs. On the right of the cog box, lift the metal triangle plate up to reveal it and rotate with your other hand. On the side panel to the left of the cog box (zoom out to see it). The final gold rotation piece in front of a statue at the top of the tea house.
Now open the drawer to pick up the large cog and elastic band.
Return to the cog box and attach the large cog on the left side. Rotate the level counter clockwise to open the small screwdriver. Move to the right of the cog box. Use the small screwdriver to remove the screws from the silver plate by rotating counter-clockwise. Remember, left to loose, right to tight when removing screws.
Removing the plate will show you two buttons and some moving cogs. Press both buttons at the same time when the middle is clear to stop the cogs. Pick up the middle piece, the peculiar folding key.
At the front of the cog box it will tell you It’s hard to tell what exactly, but something is missing here.
The peculiar shaped key. Zoom out and move to the top of the tea house box. You will see a keyhole on one of the top roof panels that you have not seen before. The peculiar key enters here. Arrange the ends of the peculiar key and enter into this keyhole to find two cogs. A medium sized cog and a small cog.
Move to the left panel of the cog machine. Flip the switch to move the lower gold cog to the right of the mechanism. Attach and rotate into the middle cog machine to spin the sphere at the front of the cog machine and find another medium sized cog.
Move back to the side panel with the cogs. Attach all three movable cogs and the elastic band to finish the system and start rotation of the star cog on the front panel.
On the front panel of the cog machine hit the button on the top left to rotate the star image and pick up the long, narrow steel tube. Nerdr.com The Room App and Guide.
Tap the steel tube you found from your item list and split off the top to get the small key and an old photograph. On the back of the old photograph is REV. 6:05. Your photograph may have a different time on the back.
Move to the right panel of the big cog machine and insert the small key. Enter weird glowing eye-patch mode and move the box to make the symbol on the card. Note that you can move the box AND rotate the tube. First align the box, then align the tube. Once solved you will see the shield. Tap to pick up the small, silver shield.
Zoom out and to the top gold statue. Give the guy the silver shield and he will spin round and show the oval gemstone.
Back to the large cog machine. Insert the oval gemstone into the hole at the front of the dial.
Enter ghost view with your eyepiece when looking at the clock to see the real hands. Spin them round using the middle rotation piece until they match the time on the back of the photograph.
Congratulations, chapter 2 complete!

Use the eyepiece and you’ll see a yellow circle and a blue line on it. Move one of the center blue pieces onto the ring and turn it until its lined up with the ‘tail’ of the Q. Slide the blue piece onto the tail and then go to the other side and slide the other blue piece onto the ring and bring that down to the ‘tail’ of the Q. Then you have to locate a square plate to insert into the opening you’ve uncovered. I don’t know how long ago you posted, today’s date is 4/28 and on my post it says Jan 19, so you may have gotten this information long ago

The last piece of the 4 symbol puzzle is in the space that you found the book on the right side.

Hi, it’s the 2nd time I’ve downloaded the game and I’m stuck at the same part! I’ve read the walkthrough to get up to the bit I’m at now to make sure I’m doing it right! I’m on level 2 on the last lock I think and I’ve opened the drawer at the top to get the 2 cogs, yet I only get one! Any ideas where there could be another?? Please reply as say as possible!! It’s driving me mad now! X.

Hi im stuck on second Puzzle got the lamp lit and eyepeice in place but when i look Through cant see anything can anyone help pls?Also you say there is a clasp on top of Box definitely cant see this so cannot move forward in the game.
In the kindle tablet version, the drawer contains only a single medium cog. With two medium cogs and no small cog, cannot make machine work. Is the small cog hidden somewhere? I have reinstalled the game twice.
The kindle tablet version might be a newer version. Although it is unlikely, they might have changed some of the puzzles. Sorry for not being specific, but the truth is I don’t know why the cog would be missing :(.
You need the rubberband and the cogs are reusable.
